Year 1 had the opportunity to become Scientists, Investigators and Engineers during our workshop – What are things made from? During our session we explored a variety of materials and their properties discussing – Why do we use a particular material for something? What properties does that material have to make it good for purpose? We had several hands on activities that included sorting, describing and investigating different materials. Our final challenge included designing and building a house for a pig that would stand strong if a wolf tries to blow it down. A fantastic morning full of investigations and scientific discussions.
