Welcome to The Ryde School PTA
The Ryde School PTA is a registered charity (charity number 1044749) and an integral part of the school community, working together to organise events, raise funds, and support school projects, all while creating a welcoming, inclusive environment for everyone involved.
All parents, guardians or carers of any pupil attending the school, plus teaching and non-teaching staff are automatically members of the PTA.
Meet the Committee Roles
As well as members, the PTA has three key committee roles:
- Chairperson: The Chairperson leads meetings and steers the committee towards its aims. Sitting in the driver’s seat, the Chair is highly enthusiastic, full of ideas and demonstrates good leadership skills.
- Treasurer: With a clear head for numbers, the Treasurer controls the PTA funds in line with the committee’s decisions, as well as charity law. The Treasurer ensures upcoming events are affordable and profitable, and reports financial information to the rest of the team.
- Secretary: The Secretary ensures that the PTA’s activities run smoothly and publicises and promotes PTA events. The Secretary has excellent communication and organisational skills to organise meetings, take minutes, keep records and liaise with parents and the school.
How to Get Involved
The PTA welcome all parents and carers to get involved, no matter how much or how little time you can give. Whether you are interested in a committee role, attend a meeting, help with event planning, or volunteer for an hour at one of the events, your support makes a real difference. Remember, you can do as much or as little as you like, every contribution, no matter how small, helps them achieve their goals.

The PTA have a range of exciting events planned this year. Here are the latest dates for your diary:

All funds raised will go towards specific requests from the school to help enrich the learning experience of the children.

Current Fundraising Goal: iPads for the School
This year, the PTA is focusing on raising funds to replace the current iPads used across the school.
How You Can Help:
- Attend events: All money raised at the events will go towards the iPads fund.
- Donate: Any contribution, big or small, will help them reach their goal faster. To make a donation, please click here.
- Volunteer: By giving your time at events, you can help raise more funds.
