It was a super day to explore our Forest School area with our families and take part in a measurement activity, sharing our skills and knowledge of our maths topic for the term. As part of our maths topic, Year 1 learns about non-standard and standard ways to measure. Mrs O’Connor created measurement challenges to complete and create discussions with our families. We demonstrated our knowledge of using a variety of measuring tools and also using our mathematical knowledge to help solve the challenges. The children also had the opportunity to engage with their families in our Forest School activities. A super afternoon to spend outside learning.
