Meals

Our school meals are prepared fresh every day by our school cook. We cater for all dietary needs including Halal, vegetarian and allergies.

There is a salad bar every day where children can choose as much salad and bread as they wish in addition to their school meal.

The menus are set by Herts Catering and rotate over a period of three weeks. You can view the latest menus on their website by following the link below:

School meals must be booked and paid for in advance.

On Wednesdays the kitchen serves ‘Wednesday Roasts’, a roast dinner with roast potatoes and stuffing, and on Fridays serves ‘Friday Favourites’, crisp chips with either pizza, fish fingers or fish fillet. These meals are very popular and a number of children who bring sandwiches the rest of the week partake of the meal/s on Wednesday, Friday or both. These meals must be ordered and paid for in advance or on the day.

Milk

Milk is available to all School and Nursery children but it has to be ordered in advance.

This is sold at a subsidised price set by the LEA. There are no refunds for occasional absences.

Fruit

We are a Healthy School and every child has the opportunity to have a piece of fresh fruit or vegetable at break time in the morning. The choice of fruit or vegetable is seasonal and there is usually a selection to choose from. We are also an Eco School and all fruit and vegetable waste is collected for composting.
