Parent Council

At The Ryde School we value the positive relationship we have with our parents and carers.

We believe in involving parents with their children’s learning and offer opportunities throughout the year for parents and carers to work with the school to support both their children’s progress and development and that of the school too.

Research has shown that children behave better and achieve more when their parents are positively involved in their education.

To further develop the partnership between school and home, the Parents’ Council is an opportunity to share ideas, discuss changes and to explore ways to further develop children’s learning and development. It aims to give parents a voice and to increase parent’s active involvement in decision making, fostering a culture of trust, ownership and participation.
